Shantala Mack Interiors are a Byron Bay based design studio specialising in joyful, timeless and elevated interiors, Australia wide.
Working across both residential and commercial sphere’s, each project is treated as a unique reflection of the client’s personality, informing not only how we feel, but how we connect with ourselves and each other, in each space. Creating layered, soulful and sensory experiences, Shantala’s designs are infused with an authenticity and inherent beauty, to elevate our everyday surroundings and encourage meaningful engagement with the places we inhabit.
Knowing that the rooms we spend time in, influence our energy in subtle but extraordinary ways, Shantala’s design philosophy strives to spark joy and cultivate connection, finding balance between aesthetic sensibilities, comfort, elegance and relaxation.

Shantala Mack Interiors specialise in high-end residential and commercial interior design. As a multidisciplinary studio, services also include styling, sourcing and art curation as well as highly crafted custom furniture design. Editorial styling for photo shoots is also available on request.
Philosophy
Shantala’s philosophy stems from the belief that the places we spend time in deeply influence our lives and the way we feel. Growing up in Byron Bay, her creativity found expression from an early age through art and photography, before a decade long career as a make-up artist in Melbourne. Relocating to Sydney to pursue Interior Design, Shantala honed her craft working with some of the most exciting names in interior design on a breathtaking array of projects, before launching her very own studio in 2022.
Passionate about creating soulful spaces that cultivate wellbeing and a sense of joy, Shantala practices thoughtful, sensory-led design. Creating inspired spaces for blissful living, work and play, her specialty lies in honouring her clients personality through imaginative, intentional and above all, beautiful design.
